So no, I am not confused I am just happy. Vectric makes things so easy to do, like 2 sided projects, it is a breeze.

I do like their tool for creating vectors from bitmaps over Aspire. I rarely use ArtCam anymore since I got the Vectric software. Since you apparently have Aspire and Carveco could you post 2 picture of a 3D relief that you have carved out of wood and show the big difference you claim. I do have Aspire and ArtCam2018 and I do not see a difference in quality of the finished product between the two. I do not have Carveco, but when I got my subscription for ArtCam it said I could only use it on 1 computer. I did not say Aspire was $1600.00 the last I checked Aspire is $1995.00 and at the end of the month Carveco will be $8000.00, that is over $6000.00 more. They did not say "Hang in their baby, we are just renaming ArtCam to Carveco".Ĭarveco is not part of Autodesk it is an entirely independent company.Ĭarveco stated that there is not really any difference between ArtCam 2018 and the current Carveco. This means the business model was failing.Īutodesk's support for ArtCAM ended on November 1, 2018. I think its important that we as Carveco supporters encourage all AC users be they Delcam or AD to get on board so that the chance of your lack of enough seats concern does not become a reality.Īs of July 7, 2018, ArtCAM has been discontinued with no planned future releases or updates. Its alive and I for one am very pleased with this state of affairs. As a community we are far better off now than we were a few months ago with the death of AC a fact. I know its a bummer to have to pay (or have paid) for the same program you already have but think of it this way, Delcam (and probably AD but I do not know about AD as I never subscribed) charged $1200 per year and often provided only cosmetic changes to the program. I think its important that they know how many of us are jewellery oriented, e-mails from us will help in this regard. To that effect an e-mail from jewellery users to support expressing this concern could not hurt. I am optimistic that jewellery support will continue but the best way to ensure that is for jewelers to have a presence and to support the program. That is not to say that we do not have any plans to extend our product portfolio, but we are primarily concerned with building a strong foundation for the future. "We do not have any current plans to release a jewellery-specific version of Carveco software.

Hi Danny, I just asked support about a separate JS version and they said they have no plans to have one but they do not plan to abandon the jewellery community.
